On this occasion, the Head of State provided food assistance to 59 underprivileged patients of our hospital. The support included 590 kg of rice, 590 kg of maize flour, 590 kg of beans, cooking oil, salt, and firewood. This generous gesture, made on the eve of the Easter celebration, reflects his continued commitment to standing alongside those facing difficulties and promoting national solidarity.
Beyond the material assistance, the visit was a powerful moment of encouragement and hope for our patients, to whom His Excellency extended wishes for a speedy recovery and a joyful Easter celebration.
Visit to the Extension Project: The Future Mother–Child Center
During his visit, the President also toured the construction site of the hospital’s extension project. This project consists of a modern three-story building named the Mother–Child Center.
Once completed, the building will serve pregnant women, women in labor, and sick children under five years of age. This important infrastructure will significantly improve maternal and child healthcare services within the Gitega health province.
Encouragement to Continue Our Mission
His Excellency the President commended the hospital’s management and staff for their initiatives and continued efforts contributing to national development and the well-being of the population.
Kibimba Hospital expresses its sincere gratitude for this presidential visit, which strengthens our commitment to providing quality, accessible, and compassionate healthcare to all.
