The Pediatric Department
The Pediatric Department at Kibimba Hospital provides care for infants, children, and adolescents with common childhood illnesses, infections, and other medical conditions affecting children in our community.
Child health is a priority for our hospital, especially in addressing conditions such as malnutrition, neonatal complications, and preventable childhood illnesses.
Our Vision:
We aim to strengthen pediatric services by improving the management of childhood malnutrition, establishing a strong Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and developing a Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) unit to support premature and low-birth-weight babies. Training healthcare workers and improving pediatric equipment will also be essential to improving child survival.
Call to Action:
Pediatricians, neonatal specialists, child health partners, and organizations passionate about improving child survival are warmly invited to collaborate with us in strengthening pediatric and newborn care.
